About Library

A college library is expected to support the objectives of the college. Thus the basic function of the college library is to assist its parent body to carry out its program. This means that it must adequately serve the needs and requirements of the faculties and students in reading, study, and research.

Gangamai Education Trust's arts, Commerce & Science College were established in 1993, that time the library was a very small unit with less number of books. The place of the library is easily located on the ground floor. The library is located on the campus which covers the area of 1600 sq. ft.We are proud of our library because it is full of prescribed and reference books to cater to the need of the students and teachers of the 21^st century.

The Library covers the area of 1600 sq. ft. The Library is well ventilated with adequate facilities. It is partly computerized. The college Library is one of the richest libraries in the rural area, having 13205 books including reference books, encyclopedia, etc. on various subjects and 26 faculty thesis and dissertation. The college library regularly subscribes about 31 journals and periodicals and 4 News Papers. College also the member for “National Library and Information Services Infrastructure for Scholarly Content (NLIST)” program of Information and Library Network Centre (INFLIBNET), Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

The library is attached to a reading hall with a seating capacity of around 80 students. There is also a separate reading space for teachers. The reference section includes several periodicals, journals, and general magazines.

There is an open access system for the faculty and students.The central library is open from 10.30 am to 5.30 pm. on all working days including vacations.
